Puppets Puppets Puppets

The team here at Flying Fox love our puppets. They are used in both our ZoomArt for Kids and Kindermusik classes and the children just love them. We stock several different brands of puppets, and we just had some new folkmanis puppets arrive this week. They are not cheap, but it seems with puppets you do get what you pay for. We love folkmanis puppets because they enable us to create such wonderful facial expressions for the kids to enjoy. They truly do come to life!

This is the fantastic Poem Tree wall sticker by French company Djeco. After waiting a few months for these to arrive in stock we were very excited to display it on our front door.

There are so many different wall stickers on the market these days, and we love the concept, however quality is also very important. This tree is beautiful, easy to install, and easy to remove as well. It's possible to change the location of the leaves, birds etc.. however I can imagine it would be quite tricky to remove the base tree and change its location. Initially we were very careful with placing the individual stickers (leaves, birds, spots etc) but after a little while we realised there were so many stickers, you couldn't really go wrong.

This tree retails for $39 in out store and I am sure it will be very popular for little girls bedrooms. Actually, I put one aside for myself before Thomas was born... just incase he turned out to be a girl!

Over the past twelve months I have thoroughly enjoyed searching for new and wonderful and creative products for our store. Over the next few posts I will feature some of our favourites. It can be hard to find creative toys and activities for children. By creative, I don't mean a cute wooden vintage truck, or a funny looking doll. I mean a toy or instrument or puppet that inspires children to dive into their imagination, that creative part of their brain that sits dormant much of their day. I love toys that set the scene, and let children write their own story. I love creative tools and materials and objects. I hope you love some of these items too.
